About Babsqui Wears
At Babsqui Wears and Monogram Embroidery, we believe fashion is a powerful expression of identity, culture, and presence. While we are renowned for our bespoke Agbada designs, our craftsmanship extends across a wide range of African styles, tailored for both men and women.
From traditional to contemporary pieces, we create outfits that blend heritage with modern elegance. At the heart of every design is our signature embroidery, carefully crafted to add depth, meaning, and distinction to every look. Each piece we produce is thoughtfully designed to reflect the personality and status of the wearer.
Whether it’s for weddings, cultural celebrations, or everyday sophistication, we ensure every outfit stands out with purpose and precision. At Babsqui Wears, we don’t just sew clothes, we create statements, one stitch at a time.
Introducing Agbadafrica
A bold evolution of heritage. The Agbadafrica collection strips away traditional heavy layers and rigid constraints, replacing them with a fluid, streamlined silhouette.
Crafted from premium, lightweight textiles and featuring meticulous tone-on-tone geometric embroidery, this monochromatic capsule is engineered to transition seamlessly from cultural milestones to high-profile professional settings.
The Craftsmanship Process
Everything starts with strict structural calculations. In this section, all four images display the initial technical sketchings of the monogram design, drafted by hand before utilizing the monogram machine to print the pattern onto the fabric. This precise drafting stage grounds the overall framing, establishing the exact spatial boundaries where the intricate line work will sit comfortably on the torso without spilling over or looking overcrowded.
Initial Proportional Sketching
The foundational layout mapping the primary boundaries of the monogram canvas. This draft determines the central scale and spacing parameters on paper, defining exactly where the high-density machine stitches will sit relative to the torso.
Geometric Line Drafting
Hand-drawn interlocking lines and repeating motifs are plotted to lock in perfect symmetry. Drawing these layers out on paper ensures the complex geometrical vectors align seamlessly before transferring the code to the monogram machine.
Agbada Monogram Blueprint
This specific sketch outlines the grand Agbada panel structure. The drawing maps the flow of the diamond motifs down the center placket, scaling the pattern to complement the heavy drape of premium Agbada fabrics perfectly.
High-Density Framework Mapping
The final layout grid detailing the dense border paths and interlocking block fragments. This technical drawing establishes the structural thickness required to support heavy monogram machine embroidery without puckering the textile.
